Choral Festival

On March 21, 2019, our school choir participated in the 31st Annual Archdiocesan Choral Festival at the Lindland Arts Center at Archbishop Riordan High School. Each year, the Archdiocese of San Francisco's Department of Catholic Schools celebrates music in our schools during this festival. The theme of this year’s festival was “All Music, All People.”

The Holy Angels School Choir sang Lin-Manuel Miranda's “How Far I’ll Go.” "How Far I'll Go" expresses a deeper, richer message to all young people of the world. It relates to the theme "All Music, All People" because this song is one of the most popular songs throughout the world. It has numbered 44 versions, including a special Tahitian-language adaptation created specifically for the Disney movie “Moana.” The children loved this song because the tone suites to their vocal range, the lyrics are fantastic and easy to memorize, and most of all they enjoyed singing it.

We are proud of our children’s beautiful performance and we commend our parents for their time and support.

Music is the language of the soul! When we sing, we pray twice.
