What's the Buzz?!?!
March 6, 2016
Please remember that I will be out of the building this Tuesday for a New Principal's Meeting and on Thursday for the NEOTech conference at Kent State. If you need anything at all, please do not hesitate to shoot me a text or an email. Also, Kara will be out of the building on Thursday, Friday, Monday and Tuesday. Shelly will be helping out (BIG TIME) by covering the office during those days. Please keep this in mind when asking Shelly to create communications or other items for you. While I know she is completely capable of handling everything and anything- I don't want to overwhelm her with everything else that happens in the office on a daily basis :)
I hope you are all able to join us for the one of the performances of Peter Pan Jr.! Please remember that we will experience the play as a school on Friday, in the gym, at 1:00 pm. I will begin calling students down around 12:45. Mr. and Mrs. Ott have generously donated their time to serve popcorn to the students during the Friday performance. Popcorn will be sold for a $1.
We are blessed to have about 90 students actively involved in Peter Pan Jr. this year. How impressive to have about one third of our student body willing to share their talents?! The students have been working very hard after school and most weekends in order to perfect their performance. This weekend alone they had 8 hours of practice. This is the remainder of the schedule
Good Night Sleep-Wednesday
Dress Rehearsal-Thursday night 5-9ish
School Performance-Friday at 1:00
Performance-Friday at 7:15
Performance-Saturday at 7:15
Performance-Sunday at 1
I ask that teachers in grades 5-8 take this schedule into consideration when assigning homework and tests/quizzes for this week, and hopefully are able to keep the work load light. This will allow the students to get the rest they need and hopefully stay healthy!
Additionally, our students who are taking part in the play will wear their Peter Pan Jr. T-shirts to school on Wednesday, March 9.
I thank all of you for encouraging our students to be the best versions of themselves and share their gifts and talents with our community!
Have a wonderful week!
