The Patrick Parent Weekly

November 11, 2022

Announcements and Reminders

Patrick Community,

Thank you so much to all those who were able to join us for our Thanksgiving Feasts this week. It was a packed house for three days, but it was absolutely wonderful to break bread with you once again! Just seeing the joy on the faces of your children made all the planning worth it! We look forward to future opportunities to welcome families back into our school.

The week of November 14-18, 2022 is American Education Week. This week will present all Americans with a wonderful opportunity to celebrate public education and honor individuals who are making a difference in ensuring that every child receives a quality education. We have several small things that are happening around the school to thank our teachers and staff for their service to our children. I want to thank our PTA for organizing a sweet treat for our teachers and staff on Friday the 18th. This will be a wonderful way to end our week and celebrate the hard work of our staff. If you feel compelled, please consider a note of thanks from either you or your child. Meaningful words have a powerful impact.

Finally, today, November 11th, marks two important dates. Today is Veteran's Day. To those in our community who have served or are serving in a branch of our nation's military, I want to thank you. I appreciate you. Also, today is the 15th anniversary of the dedication of Patrick Elementary School. As I am learning more about the school and its namesake, I am honored to see Bobby Patrick's belief in service played out around our school in the small things' folks do for each other and in the big things. It is the heart of this community that makes for a legacy that Mr. Patrick would be proud of. I am honored to share the story.

I wish you a wonderful Fall weekend! Stay warm.

Mrs. Ellyce Cone, Principal
