CHRIST-KING CATHOLIC SCHOOL
February 2023
Faith Moment
As we moved through February we look forward to the start of Lent on Wednesday, February 22 with Ash Wednesday!
Parent Social Media Talk
Jo(e) Social Media Parent Informational Night!
CKCS will be hosting a Parent Social Media Talk, led by Jo(e) Social Media on Monday, February 6th from 6:00-8:00pm.
ALL parent community members (not just CKCS parents!) are welcome to attend by donation (not required).
The presentation is "designed to stimulate a continuous, positive social media conversation between kids and the adults in their lives, led by the lived-experience of the kids. Many kids won't report the bad things that happen online, because parents take away their video game, or phone or Snapchat to keep them safe. Parents need to learn how to support and understand social media from their child's perspective, and to create space to help with the negative in an effective manner."
Come for insightful conversation and coffee! We look forward to seeing you there!

School Council plays a very vital role at Christ-King. They fundraise to provide events for our students, they organize hot lunches, staff appreciation and so many other activities. Since they do so many things for our school, it does take volunteer power. Please consider coming! We know life gets busy so you do not need to attend every meeting, nor are you expected to volunteer for every event in the year. Please just help out as you can!
Thank You School Council!
School Council has determined they would like to support a Faith goal, a Physical Education goal and a Mental Health goal for our students this year.
School Council will be paying to bring in:
-Mini Legends (K-6)
-Snowshoeing (7-9)
-Face2Face (K-9)
-Motivational Magic (K-9)
The above guest speakers and activities will help support the goals of School Council!
Thank you very much for your continued support! CKCS would not be able to provide all that we do without School Council!
