THE METAMORPHOSIS

Born on July 3, 1883, in Prague, capital of what is now the Czech Republic, writer Franz Kafka grew up in an upper middle-class Jewish family. After studying law at the University of Prague, he worked in insurance and wrote in the evenings. In 1923, he moved to Berlin to focus on writing, but died of tuberculosis shortly after. His friend Max Brod published most of his work posthumously, such as Amerika and The castle.
STORY PLOT
Gregor is the main character of the story. He works as a traveling salesman in order to provide money for his sister and parents. He wakes up one morning finding himself transformed into an insect. After the metamorphosis, Gregor becomes unable to work and is confined to his room for the remainder of the story.
GREGOR SAMSA
Gregor hates his job but keeps it because of the obligations he feels to pay off his father’s debt and care for his family. He has transformed into a large bug and spends the rest of his life in that state. Although hideous and unrecognizable to others, Gregor retains his some of his inner life and struggles to reconcile his lingering humanity with his physical condition.

INTERESTING EVENTS
1. When Gregor Samsa wakes up inexplicably transformed into a vermin and the reaction he has about it.
2.The reaction his family had when he saw him tranformed,also the change his family had towards him because of his change.
3.The phiscal and change that this had on him didnt chamge what was inside of him meaning his feeling and emotion because he was the same guy who never worried of others ,the same guy with the same preocuptions and doing the same thing.
