Scholarship Labs: Feb 12 & Feb 27

Do you still need Senior Academy credit?

Come to Crosby Scholars Scholarship Labs on February 12 or February 27!


Registration is required through your Crosby Scholars Student Portal.


  • CSA #20N Scholarship Lab will be held on February 12th from 4:30-5:30pm
  • CSA #20-O Scholarship Lab will be held on February 12th from 5:30-6:30pm
  • CSA #20P Scholarship Lab will be held on February 27th from 4:30-5:30pm
  • CSA #20Q Scholarship Lab will be held on February 27th from 5:30-6:30pm



The Winston Salem Foundation -- James L. Einstein College Scholarship

The Winston Salem Foundation is offering The James L. Einstein College Scholarship, which provides one $3,000 renewable scholarship to a graduating Crosby Scholar senior who will attend a two- or four-year college or university with a cumulative unweighted GPA of 2.5 or higher; who demonstrates participation in community service; and who demonstrates financial need.


Preference may be given to Crosby Scholars seniors whose parents are employees of WestRock Company and work in Forsyth County.


Interested applicants may apply online at www.wsfoundation.org/students The deadline to submit an application is April 1, 2019.

Center for Smart Financial Choices: Keener Financial Education Scholarships

The Center for Smart Financial Choices (CFSFC) teaches education through personal interactive programs to enable individuals to make better financial decisions now and in the future. CFSFC is offering the Keener Financial Education Scholarships for high school seniors pursuing a two-year or four-year degree.


SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE:


Youth Scholarship (high school seniors)
o Students pursuing an associate’s or two-year technical degree – two $500 awards available
o Students pursuing a four-year degree – two $1000 awards available

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:


• Be enrolled or accepted as a full-time student in an accredited college or university
• Have an unweighted GPA of 2.5 or higher
• Attend two financial education classes offered by CFSFC and complete 500-word essay in response to classes

Goodwill Willpower Scholarship Opens Feb 4

The Program will award a non-renewable $1,500 scholarship annually to one

graduating Crosby Scholar senior who has weathered adversity resulting from a personal choice and has emerged with a remarkable story of willpower and determination. The applicant must plan to enroll in a two- or four-year college or university.


The application is available in the Crosby Scholars Student Portal. The deadline is March 3, 2019.

Advancing Capitalism Scholarship Opens Feb 4

The Program will award up to three renewable $1,250 scholarships to graduating

Crosby Scholar seniors who will enroll in a four-year college or university with either Business or Economics as their intended major, has a cumulative weighted GPA of 3.2 or higher, and who submit an essay utilizing one of three available essay prompts. The scholarship is renewable through four continuous years of undergraduate study for a maximum cumulative award of $5,000 as long as the recipient maintains a 3.2 GPA, a major in business or economics, and provides an annual update on their progress through school.


The application is available in the Crosby Scholars Student Portal. The deadline is March 3, 2019.

Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity (Gamma Kappa Boule) Scholarship Opens Feb 11

The Program will award a non-renewable $1,000 scholarship to two graduating Crosby Scholar African-American males who demonstrate academic achievement by holding a cumulative weighted GPA of 2.0 or higher; and clearly express in an essay the theme of being “My Brother’s

Keeper”.


The application is available in the Crosby Scholars Student Portal. The deadline is March 10, 2019.

AAMPED Scholarship Opens Feb 18

The Program will award one non-renewable $1,000 scholarship to one graduating Crosby

Scholar senior who has participated in an AAMPED activity, who will enroll in a two- or four-year college or university; has a cumulative weighted GPA of 3.0 or higher; who has successfully completed all requirements of the Crosby Scholars Program from grade 9 through graduation; and who has performed a minimum of ten community service hours during their senior year. The student will clearly demonstrate in an essay how they will apply the principles of servant

leadership to their college experience and beyond.


The application is available in the Crosby Scholars Student Portal. The deadline is March 17, 2019.

Harry Scofield Memorial Book Scholarship Opens Feb 25

The Program will award a non-renewable $300 book scholarship to four

graduating Crosby Scholar seniors who will enroll in a two- or four-year college or university, who attended the Senior Academy on Scholarships, and who demonstrate academic achievement by holding a cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.0 or higher. Preference will be given to scholars whose parent/guardian is employed by an educational institution; however, all scholars are eligible to apply.


The application is available in the Crosby Scholars Student Portal. The deadline is March 24, 2019.
