2020-21 Plano ISD Return Plan
Back-to-School Information
Student Registration and Schedules
Beginning July 21st, parents and guardians may log into the PISD Parent Portal at https://parentview.pisd.edu to complete the required forms necessary to obtain your student's schedule. You will be notified by Jasper via enews and School Messenger when schedules are available for release. Students will be able to view and print their schedules on-line through Parent Portal. If there are any holds such as Chromebook/textbook fines, library fees, missing paperwork and/or immunization records, etc., you will need to contact the campus to resolve them so that you are able to view your schedule.
By setting up and updating your Parent Portal account you will gain access to your student's grades, attendance, assessment information, and Jasper eNews. If you need technology assistance, please contact the help desk at 469-752-8767 or at parent.portal@pisd.edu (email must include student name, student ID, and campus).
More information regarding Annual Registration may be found at https://www.pisd.edu/Page/17458.
We have provided some helpful handouts to get you through the schedule release on-line paperwork:

Final Return of Chromebooks/Textbooks/Library Books & Final Yearbook Pickup - July 28th
Students who still have Chromebooks, textbooks, library books, and/or English novels at home from the 2019-20 school year, have one final opportunity to turn these items in at Jasper High School. In addition, students who were not able to pick up their 2019-20 yearbook may do so on this date.
Below is detailed information regarding our process on July 28th from 10:30 am - 1:30 pm:
- Return of Chromebooks
- Return of Textbooks, Library Books, and/or English Novels
- Pick-up of previously purchased 2019-20 Yearbooks (no Yearbook sales)
Please visit https://tinyurl.com/yd4o53gf to sign-up so that we may plan accordingly.
IMPORTANT: If you still have the above items at home, these must be returned or a hold will be placed on your schedule. You will not be able to obtain a 2020-21 academic schedule until the item is returned or paid for. We will have a distribution date for the 2020-21 school year for students to obtain a Chromebook for this year.
The following expectations for parents and students are in place when coming to JHS to return materials:
- Please wear a face covering when picking up or returning student materials.
- Follow COVID-19 preventative practices as advised by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
- Please stay in your vehicle. Follow the curbside process provided below.
- Please do not come to the campus if you have been ill, if you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the past 14 days, or if you are currently under isolation/quarantine orders.
Process for Return of Student Items on July 28th:
During this process, all Jasper Staff will be following safety protocols and practicing social distancing. Masks and gloves will be worn when collecting/distributing materials.
Students and families will not be granted entrance into the building. All students and passengers will need to remain in their vehicles and open their trunks or provide access to their backseats at the assigned station. All interactions will be conducted curbside; we will need the ability to communicate through vehicle windows.
This process will occur on the south side of Jasper High School in the carpool lane. Please refer to the map below and follow the signs directing traffic. Signs and cones will be utilized for entrances/exits and to direct vehicles to specific stations. Please follow the direction of Jasper staff members while on campus to assist with the flow of traffic.
We ask that each vehicle have a sign with the Student Name and ID #. Please have this taped to the passenger side window and in a large, dark font to make it easy for staff to read from the curb as you pull up to the station. You may use this template if you wish.
In an effort to make the process efficient for all, please make sure that any items you need to return to the campus are placed in the trunk or rear of your vehicle. Please prepare them as follows:
Textbooks, Library Books, and/or English Novels: Clearly label each item with Student Name and ID# on a piece of paper or sticky note. Not sure if you owe a library book? Check here!
Chromebooks: Wrap cord and place with Chromebook. Clearly label the Chromebook and cord with the Student Name and ID# on a piece of paper or sticky note.
Save the Date - Jasper High School Readiness Days for Chromebook and School Supply Pick-up
Each student at Jasper High School is issued a Chromebook for educational purposes as directed by their teachers. Students are responsible for the device issued to them and should not allow it to be used by other students. Due to the 1:1 nature of our Chromebook program, whether students will be engaging in Face-to-Face learning or School@Home, all students should pick-up their assigned Chromebook at Jasper as indicated below. Students who opt for Face-to-Face learning will carry this device back and forth when learning commences on campus on September 9th.
Chromebooks, as well as school supplies, recommended reading, and spirit wear that were pre-purchased through PTSA may be picked up curbside on either Friday, August 7 or Monday, August 10. Mark your calendars and look for more information coming soon!
Need Wi-Fi Access?
If your family does not have access to WiFi at home, please contact Jim Crusinberry, the Jasper Campus Technology Assistant, so that a mobile hotspot may be requested for you.
