Getting Ready for February
Hunting Ridge Families:
Attendance continues to be an area of focus for us to ensure that we are maximizing instruction for all of our learners. This month, we will be talking with the students about the importance of attendance. When students are in a virtual classroom setting, it is important that students are logging into their class at the start of the day and staying logged into their class links throughout the day. We are looking to see that our virtual learners are active with the activities that their teachers have planned, are completing tasks, and are participating with their groups. Attendance for our in-person students means they are physically in their classrooms. Our school day starts at 8:45 AM. Please help us to get students to class on time and to encourage full participation in their learning day.
Important Dates:
- Monday, February 15, 2021 - Non-Attendance Day
- Wednesday, February 17, 2021 - Virtual Student Material Pick-up at Door #2 - If the times listed below do not work, please coordinate with the office.

Valentine's Day and Open House
This time of year also is a time when we start preparing for Open House. This year, our Open House, originally scheduled for the end of February, will be canceled. More information will come to families about the way that D15 will approach Open House, across the district, later in the school year.

From the Office
Families that are moving:
This can be a difficult time for families and the main office would love to help create a smooth transition for students moving to a new school. If you know that you are moving, please contact Mrs. Cefalu in the front office. It is helpful for us to know the last day of student attendance and the new school where students will attend. We can help give families important information to share with the new school.
Changing information:
Please let the office know if there are any changes to contact information or emergency contacts.
Attendance Calls:
Our attendance line phone number is 847-963-5301. When leaving a message about attendance, we ask for your help in leaving a detailed message about the reason for the absence. Please include any symptoms your child might be showing so that our nurse can follow-up with families.
