LHS AICE Cambridge Program
October 2021
AICE Mission Statement
Through our collective belief, skill, and will, each Leesburg High School AICE Student will graduate with the skills necessary for success in a university.
With this goal in mind, we are excited for our upcoming October/November AICE Cambridge exam series. We have nothing but confidence in our students' abilities and preparation and are pleased for the students to have an opportunity to show their knowledge on the AICE General Paper and AICE Literature exams. We look forward to celebrating their success.
AICE General Paper (Seniors Only) - October 4th & 7th. Please report to the Gym at 7:30AM.
AICE Literature (AICE Senior Cohort Only) - October 22nd & 29th. All testing students please report to A lunch! Testing rooms will open in the Media Center at 11:50AM.
Bags, electronics and other personal items are NOT allowed in the testing area. Bag check will be available. Testing will be 8AM-10AM for General Paper and 11:50-2:00 for Literature. There are NO MAKE-UP sessions, so please be on time and prepared to test. If a student misses an exam session due to quarantine for COVID-19 positive result or exposure, we will apply for an exemption and request a score from Cambridge. If there is an extenuating circumstance and you can not sit for your scheduled exam, please contact Mrs. Allen - AllenC1@lake.k12.fl.us.
FAFSA Applications
The FAFSA questions ask for information about you (your name, date of birth, address, etc.) and about your financial situation. Depending on your circumstances (for instance, whether you’re a U.S. citizen or what tax form you used), you might need the following information or documents as you fill out the application:
· Your Social Security number (it’s important that you enter it correctly on the FAFSA form!)
· Your parents’ Social Security numbers if you are a dependent student
· Your driver’s license number if you have one
· Your Alien Registration number if you are not a U.S. citizen
· Federal tax information or tax returns including IRS W-2 information, for you (and your spouse, if you are married), and for your parents if you are a dependent student:
- IRS 1040
- Foreign tax return, IRS 1040NR, or IRS 1040NR-EZ
- Tax return for Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Marshall Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, or Palau
· Records of your untaxed income, such as child support received, interest income, and veterans noneducation benefits, for you, and for your parents if you are a dependent student
· Information on cash; savings and checking account balances; investments, including stocks and bonds and real estate (but not including the home in which you live); and business and farm assets for you, and for your parents if you are a dependent student
Keep these records! You may need them again. Do not mail your records to us.
AICE Testing - Save the Date
AICE examinations are unique in that there are NOT make-up days for the exams. Students must sit for both parts of the examination in order to receive a result. If a student misses an exam session due to quarantine for COVID-19 positive result or exposure, we will apply for an exemption and request a score from Cambridge.
