- Thank you for your support and attending parent conferences. We are thankful that we can partner together for the success of your child.
- October 2nd is National Custodian's Day! We are blessed with some of the BEST Custodians. Thank you Maria, Lordous, Teri, Debra, and Jeanie. Thank you for all you do! We encourage you to have your child draw them a picture or write them a kind note this week.
- We are still looking for parent volunteers to help at our crosswalk. The morning time frame is 7:20-7:40 and the afternoon time frame is 3:20-3:35 (Wednesday 2:00-2:15). If you can help any of those days/times, please reach out to Mrs. Kennedy at skennedy@sdale.org
Notes from Nurse Lindsay:
Our annual flu shot clinic will be Thursday, October 13, 2022. If you would like for your child to receive a flu shot, please carefully read the packet that will be sent home and be sure to fill out the back two pages of the packet: the immunization consent form, front and back, including your insurance status, and the FERPA form. Parents are required to sign both forms. Students without insurance may still receive the flu shot. Both forms must be completely filled out and returned to the Nurse for your child to receive the flu shot. There will be no flu mist; only flu shots will be given. Please promptly return completed forms.
Why get a flu shot?
“Influenza is a respiratory infection that can cause serious complications, particularly in young children. Getting a flu vaccine is the best way to prevent the flu and its complications. The flu vaccine significantly reduces the risk of dying of the flu. Research shows this is true for both children with an underlying medical condition and children who are healthy.” (from www.mayoclinic.org)
Please call or email Nurse Lindsay with any questions or concerns!
