Level Creek Elementary

February 2016

Dear Level Creek families,

We hope you have all settled in to the second half of the school year. The PTA still has some great projects and events planned for the year, so mark your calendars! You won’t want to miss these exciting opportunities to connect with other students and staff at our wonderful school!

Please mark your calendars for Saturday, February 6th from 1:00-4:00 pm for the annual Level Creek Winter Carnival! For those of you who may be new to our school, our Winter Carnival is an amazing event that is held each year for Level Creek students and their families. The Winter Carnival includes entertainment, inflatables, food, games and much more! Be sure to purchase raffle tickets as you won’t want to miss our raffle baskets which includes items such as: Star Wars Legos, American Girl doll, GoPro, iPads, Xbox ONE, Disney World tickets, and much more!

Our fabulous care and community chairs, Missy Schofield and Helen Chang, have been busy collecting all of the food that the kids donated for the North Gwinnett Co-op. Thank you to the First Grade teachers for organizing such a great service project for our students! The school donated more than 2,400 items! Thanks so much for always supporting our school and our community!

Mark your calendars! Teacher Appreciation Week is scheduled from March 18th through the 22nd. Like last year, we will be collecting $5 gift cards to put together gift bags for all of our non-homeroom faculty and support staff. These gift bags have been such a blessing and the recipients are always blown away by the generosity of the Level Creek community! We once again want to show the entire Level Creek staff that they are important to all of us! Don’t miss this chance to show your appreciation. When we all come together, it’s truly amazing what we can do for our school!

As always, thank you for all of your support!

The Faculty & Staff Committee would like to thank those that continue to make birthday cupcakes each month for our wonderful teachers and staff. They are a big hit! Our next events will be to host lunches on Wednesday, February 24th and Thursday, February 25th. These are the Early Release days for conferences. We will be asking for folks to bring in desserts only on Wednesday, as PTA will provide the main dish. On Thursday, we will be asking for yummy crock pot soups and desserts. We will be in touch about these lunches with volunteers through Signup Genius.
