Are there glaciers or ice on Pluto?
Being the farthest planet from the Sun, yes Pluto is covered in ice! Pluto is 3,647 milllion miles from the Sun, thus it is covered in ice. Pluto and all of it's moons are displayed with a covering of ice. Though Pluto is covered in ice, we have no information on whether or not it has glaciers. Fot it takes around 10 years to reach Pluto. Thus we have no further information on whether it has galciers or any heat or light.
Is there heat and how much if so?
If Pluto were closer, perhaps there would be a small amount of heat. but the fact is, no There is no heat on Pluto. Like I said before, Pluto is 3,647 million miles from the sun. Thus it is cold and has zero heat. Pluto is to far away to have any heat at all.
Are there moons and how long are days?
Pluto has a moon called Charon. Pluto also has 4 other moons but Charon is the largest. Charon is also covered in ice. Scientists beleive that Charon was once part of Pluto once. Pluto holds the record for longest days in the solar system. Days are 153 hours long.
Is Pluto a planet?
10 years ago, 2006 Pluto was said not to be a planet. It has 2 things a planet requirs, it orbits the sun and is round. But Pluto has not yet 'cleared the neighborhood' of it's orbit. Meaning sense it cuts into Neptune's orbit it has created a new category, dwarf planet. Pluto, though has only been a dwarf planet for 10 years.
When do you see stars?
Stars? When would Pluto see them? What time? The answer is... All the time! Because Pluto is so far away, it's dark and stars can be seen day and night! The moons are also always visible!

Pluto has five moons, Nix, Hydra, Kerberos, Styx, and Charon. Charon is the largest and closest to Pluto. Charon is half the size of Pluto but the rest arn't even half the size of Charon!
Who discovered Pluto?
Clyde Tombaugh discovered Pluto. They were trying to find a planet past Neptune but did not find Pluto in the calculated spot. But Pluto was found anyway, Pluto has no atmosphere and no clouds, only nitrogen ice and it's surface.
Who named Pluto?
Pluto was named after an 11 year old girl. The first 2 letters of Pluto, Pl, is the innitials of the person who helped find Pluto. His name was Perrel Lowel. The disney character 'Pluto the dog' was also named after Pluto.
How many dwarf planets are there?
There are 5 dwarf planets. Pluto, Makemake, Haumea, Eris, and Ceres. Ceres is located in the astroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. Eris, Haumea, Makemake, and Pluto are all located beyond Neptune.
How large and how long are years?
Pluto is the size of our moon. It takes 249 Earth years to complete one year on Pluto! Thats almost 250 years! Plutos days are also 153 hours long. If the think about it, imagine living on pluto. You wouldn't be around long enough to complete one year on Pluto!
