Newsletter #11 (11/1/18)
Message from the Principal
As we turn the calendar page over to the month of November, a variety of activities or events will be occurring in the upcoming weeks that will allow everyone to reflect on helping others and then taking action to make a positive difference in the lives of many. Supporting one another is a year-round endeavor, yet this time of year always seems to bring out the best in all of us for our collective efforts. We look forward to seeing everyone at many of our events and participating in our activities as we continue to make a positive difference.
Finally, we hope that you will take a few moments today to read through some of the amazing activities and accomplishments that continue to further recognize our collective efforts.
As always, thank you for your support.

PHS Represented in Youth Leadership Program
The Perry High School Ambassadors for the Class of 2019 Youth Leadership Stark County program are Peyton Daugherty and Devonte Armstrong. This is the first year for the program. Students from area Stark County high schools meet each month for a full day of activities and learning. The goal is to develop leadership skills and an understanding of the Stark County area while meeting and working with other students.
At the October meeting, students were organized into groups and directed to create a tower in ten minutes, with the tallest tower being the winner. Peyton used creative thinking and taped her group's tower to the ceiling...making it the tallest! Great creative thinking. Peyton shared that this experience has helped her develop personal skills and group strengths and she has learned a lot about the Stark County area. Peyton and Devonte also took part in one of Canton's Escape Rooms that was not only fun, but developed teamwork and critical thinking skills! Peyton and Devonte look forward to the programs organized for the rest of the year.
Thank you Peyton and Devonte for proudly representing Perry High School!
