Which is the best paint for your car?
There might have been times when people have told to get a metallic paint job or a pearl paint job for your car. Each having its own pros and cons you should make sure to conduct a thorough research before going to either. For where one might seem to be satisfying all your preferences, others might be the best. Basically, the choice is heavily dependent on your preferences. You might want your car to be shiny but at the same time respond to light a little differently. Now along with that there have been many evolutions in car designs & styles.
Like fashion for people has evolved, so have the fashion and trends for cars. Most of the new designs have been patented by the developing company (you know, so the others can’t copy). Many companies are hard at work trying to come up with the best of the designs but not a lot of their concepts even leave the drawing board. There are a lot of things which can help you spice up the look and feel of your car, you should consider each and every one of them before going forth with a modification. Choosing the paint for your car is one such factor.
There are various styles and shades available in the market. Now a day’s people don’t know much difference between things so they don’t actually know what they desire. Two of the most commonly misconceived types are Metallic car paint and pearl car paint. These two might look the same to a naive bystander, but there are many things, which set them apart. First off the material of these two types differs heavily. The metallic paint uses aluminum in the form of very small flakes, which are evenly mixed with the paint and are almost same in size. The pearl paint employs small flakes of mica, which resembles a natural pearl. So basically the composition of these two differs.
Then we look at the perspective-relative appeal of them both. The shine of the metallic paint doesn’t change when the viewing angle is changed. No matter from where you look at it, the hue of the paint point remains the same. Now the pearl car paint will change the appeal when you look at it from different angles. Having said that it gives off the perception of illuminated and shaded areas based on the amount of light it receives. The application methods for both of these paints also differ. The metallic car paint is applied in likes of sports designs like that of an edgy race car, similarly the pearl paints are usually associated with luxury and family cars.
So now that you know some basic differences between these two, you can better decide as to which of the latter to go for. There are many factors that you need to take into consideration before going forth with a paint job. Having said that there are many other things which should be considered or which could change your decision at the end. Research and make up your mind.
