Northwest Ohio Led The State in Opposing State Issue 3
Northwest Ohio led the state in opposing the recently failed statewide marijuana legalization amendment, according to an analysis by a Columbus-based election statistics expert.
Of seven geographic regions, according to the study by Mike Dawson, voters in the 12 counties in northwest Ohio rejected the proposal by 66.35 percent.
That failure rate was followed closely by the 20 central counties that surround Columbus at 66 percent.
Issue 3 was defeated in all 88 counties, with nearly 64 percent of statewide voters opposed.
