The Pershing Elementary Newsletter

Principal Message

Good Evening Pershing Families,

This evening's Panther Press has many important updates, so please take the time to read the message below carefully. Many events are taking place with very little notice as we make further preparations for the Hybrid schedule and in-person learning.

Important Hybrid Transition Updates:

Reminder: Pershing staff continues to prepare to transition to hybrid. If Sacramento County is in the Red Tier on March 16th, then elementary schools will transition to the Hybrid schedule on Monday, March 22nd.

New details: If that occurs, then Wednesday, Thursday and Friday students will not have synchronous Zoom instruction while teachers prepare classrooms to be ready for in person instruction. All instruction will be asynchronous on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (except for resource and speech).

If Sacramento County does not move to the Red Tier, then elementary schools will transition to the Hybrid schedule on Monday, April 5th (even if still in the Purple Tier) and only Wednesday will be an asynchronous day this week. For a more detailed explanation, and information about both preschool and secondary, please visit the San Juan Unified website.

To be clear, we will either transition to our new Hybrid Schedule on March 22nd OR April 5th. We will know for sure which date on March 16th.
