The collection for Fall Fest Bingo and Book Walk donations has begun! Follow Michael Spencer’s lead and drop off your donation in the Pemberton Library. I can’t wait to experience my first HFCS Fall Fest on October 6th!
The student art gallery in the library is popping with the marvelous, creative work of our students! Stop in and see the students’ great work the next time you are on campus.
Do you want to know more about how to keep your child safe in the age of social media? Our children know more about social media than we do, here is a website that will give you information about how to help your child stay cyber safe and make good choices about social media use: https://smartsocial.com/
Dr. Matasso will be coaching a LEGO Robotics Team again this year, thank you, Dr. Matasso! Students in grades 4 through 8 are welcome to join, ten spots are available on the team. The sooner you sign your child up the sooner the team can begin to practice. The first meeting will be Friday, September 20, at 3:15.
The week of September 23rd brings us our annual Book Fair and Grandparents Day! We can’t wait to see the Grandparents here on Thursday, September 26.
Parent Teacher Conferences are right around the corner on September 27! There is no school that day and no Extended Care. Students are required to attend the meetings with their parents or guardians.
Teachers will be utilizing SignUp Genius to help you schedule conference times easily; your child’s teacher will activate her SignUp Genius by next Wednesday, September 18th.
Pot O’ Gold is looking for a co-chair, and other volunteers, to help Maria Orand plan our 2020 event! Please reach out to Maria Orand or Lisa Griffith to learn more about this special evening and what you can do, big or small, to help make this year’s Pot O’ Gold a night to remember!

Holy Family Catholic Community Fall Festival October 6, 2019 from 1 P.M. - 5 P.M.
Mark your calendars and make plans to attend the Holy Family Community Fall Festival on Sunday, October 6, 2019 from 1 P.M. to 5 P.M. Join us on the Hornet's Nest (the school field) for fun, bounce houses, food, NFL football games, a pumpkin carving contest and most importantly community fellowship.
Ticket and Play Pass Bracelet Order Form: Pre-order your Play Pass Bracelet and Tickets today! Pre-orders will be accepted through October 3, 2019. More details regarding these items can be found on the form.
Donations for Fall Festival: Donations are needed for the booths at Fall Festival! Each family is asked to donate the following items:
- Two books for Book Walk
- Two prizes for BINGO
- Two baked goods for the Cake Walk (baked goods can be home baked or store bought) Baked goods will be accepted the weekend of the festival.
BINGO is very popular at the Fall Festival. A few donation ideas are listed below. Keep in mind, EVERYONE likes to play BINGO! We are looking for donations for ALL age groups.

- Themed Baskets
- Legos, arts and crafts kits, games, toys
- Sport items
- Movie Tickets
Class Booths and Volunteering: Be on the lookout for an email and sign-ups from your room parents regarding class booths. Each class will sponsor a booth at the festival and room parents will be looking for help. This is a great way to meet families in your class and get to know the Holy Family community. Please make sure your Safe Environment training has been updated to the new VIRTUS program "Protecting God's Children for Adults". A few spots remain for the awareness session to be held at Holy Family Parish on September 21, 2019. Pumpkin Carving Contest: The pumpkin carving contest is returning to the Fall Festival and requires an entry form. The entry form can be picked up in the school office or accessed from the school's website. The form is due by Thursday, October 3, 2019. All pumpkins must be carved at home and brought to the festival for judging. The winners will be announced at 3:00 P.M. and will receive a gift card.
Fall Festival Raffle: Be sure to purchase your raffle tickets for a chance to win a $500 VISA gift card. Tickets are limited and only $2 per ticket. The raffle ticket form can be picked up in the school office or accessed from the school's website.
Arts and Crafts Vendor Information and Forms: Once again, the Fall Festival will provide vendor booths. This is a chance to sell one-of-a-kind handcrafted items or promote your home business that sells goods. The cost per booth is $25. Vendor packet forms are available at the Pastoral Center and school office. All forms for craft vendor booths are due by Wednesday, September 25, 2019.
