The basics of using Apple TV
Apple TV is a small black box with an HDMI output that is used to mirror or stream from an IOS device (an iPad or iPhone) on a large display. The mirroring ability is built into all iPad's except the first generation . With iPad mirrored onto a large screen, teachers can demo how to use an app, display what is under the iPad's camera, display Kahoot questions, or lead a Nearpod. Students can show off their latest creations, draw their solutions to a problem, display their writing etc.
Connecting Apple TV

Connect the power cord and HDMI to the Apple TV then connect to your projector. The Apple TV will sit on the top of your projector.

Connect the HDMI from the Apple TV to one of the two HDMI ports.

Mirroring an IOS device
- Change the input on your projector to HDMI1 or HDMI2. Your cord is plugged into one of the two ports. You can try either one on the remote if you aren't sure which one you used.
- Swipe up (from the home button) to find screen mirroring.
- You will get a code displayed on the board.
- Enter code and your iPad will now mirror on the board.
