All Indiana Schools Are Closed until At Least May 1
This afternoon Governor Holcomb announced that all Indiana Schools will be closed until at least May 1st and state testing will be suspended. HERE is a link to an Indy Star article which gives an overview of all of Governor Holcomb's latest updates pertaining to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This press release was the first notification that school administrators received pertaining to this latest update. Given that this is a fluid and dynamic situation, I want you to know that I am currently working with Monsignor Schaedel and my fellow North Deanery Archdiocesan Principals to determine our next steps and will be in touch to share further updates as they are available. We will be looking to the Archdiocesan Office of Catholic Schools and the Indiana Department of Education for additional updates that may help drive our policies and practices as we move forward.
For now, please know that we are working on it and our priority will be to keep your children safe and determine a plan that is supportive of their social and emotional wellbeing as well as their academic growth.
Please lift our entire St. Luke community in prayer during this difficult time and know that I am praying for each of you and your children.
Stay tuned, we will be in touch with additional information as it is available.
Prayerfully,
Mrs. Kissel
Mrs. Elizabeth Kissel
