Media Mania
Blockbuster Readers
Our theme for the month of January is responsibility as demonstrated in the movie The Lion King. Each month the students have a goal of reading 500 minutes to earn their stars on the Readers Walk of Fame. Be sure to read 20 minutes each night and fill out your reading log! (The minutes that adults read to their students also count!)
Device return
If your student has returned to in-person learning and borrowed a school device or hot spot for the first semester, please return these items to school. Don't forget about the chargers!
Placing holds on library books
As we begin the new semester, please remember that students may place books on hold through the media catalog and digital students can pick up their holds during curbside pick-up on Wednesdays from 9:00am-2:00pm or 4:00pm-5:00pm. In person students will have their books delivered to their classrooms. Directions for placing holds can be found on the media center eClass page.
Curbside pick-up
Curb side pick-up is on Wednesdays from 9:00am-2:00pm or 4:00pm-5:00pm. Students may pick up materials from teachers, as well as any library books that have been placed on hold. Please fill out this form to let us know when you are coming.
Branch Out Program with Gwinnett County Public Library
All GCPS students automatically have an account with the Gwinnett County Public Library through the Branch Out partnership. In addition to checking out books from the library, students also have access to all the digital resources, electronic books, and programs found at https://www.gwinnettpl.org/. This includes free tutoring from tutor.com! Students can access their public library account online by using their student number as the username and their birthdate (MMDD) as the password.

The Parent Center is available to offer grade-level specific resources to support all of the grade-level standards. If you would like to schedule a Zoom session, please feel free to email Xandria McBride or contact the Parent Center at 678-518-6981.
