From the Principal's Desk...
“This is my beloved Son. Listen to him.”
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are in the last trimester of this school year. In some ways, this year has seemed to be very, very long, and in other ways, it has gone by remarkably quickly. We all know that it has been an extremely challenging year. We are all ready for things to look and feel somewhat more normal.
I continue to be deeply grateful for the faith-filled dedication of our faculty and staff. They have continued to teach, care for and pray for all of our students in the midst of this pandemic. I am equally thankful for your support of our faculty and staff over the past year.
Next week our faculty and staff will be able to receive their second COVID vaccination. I am very hopeful that this will significantly reduce the number of adults that we have needed to quarantine. Please know that our faculty and staff want to be here in person as much or more than our students. Please remember that next Thursday, March 4 and Friday, March 5 will be remote days in order to facilitate our vaccinations and if needed our next day recovery.
This Sunday is the Second Sunday of Lent. In the Gospel (Mk 9:2-10), we hear the narrative of the Transfiguration. Jesus goes up the mountain with Peter, James and John, and in their sight He is transfigured. “Then a cloud came, casting a shadow over them; from the cloud came a voice, “This is my beloved Son. Listen to him.”
In this Lenten Season and as we continue to support one another during this pandemic, may
we be attentive to the ways in which Jesus is with us. May we pray to experience Jesus more fully as Peter, James and John did. Let us teach our daughters and sons the same message; “This is my beloved son. Listen to him.”
Peace,
Dan Minelli

Performing Arts Assistant(s) Needed
Amy Eyers, our Performing Arts Leader, is looking for an assistant (or two) to help with rehearsals each week, coordinate volunteers, and help send emails.
St. John's Performing Arts Program (grades 6-8) is a wonderful extra curricular for our students and without additional adult volunteers, it may not be possible to continue the program next year. Ideally, we would like to find someone this year so they could learn a little about how things work and then be able to step in next year.
If interested in becoming a volunteer assistant, please contact Amy Eyers at amyeyers21@gmail.com.
