World Read Aloud Day!

WORLD READ ALOUD DAY IS ALMOST HERE!! Thank you to all the volunteer readers that have signed up to date. We have our books picked out and ready for you to read thanks to our Lead Reading Interventionist Ms. Melissa Weiderhold!

We need 2 more readers, if you are available, please join us on February 1, 2023 and be a reader for a classroom of your choice to celebrate this day! Click the sign up genius link here. Pick an open classroom slot and sign up!

For 13 years, World Read Aloud Day has called attention to the importance of sharing stories by challenging participants to grab a book, find an audience, and read-aloud! The global effort, created by the non-profit LitWorld and sponsored by Scholastic, is celebrated annually in over 173 countries and is all about bringing people together through the shared connection of reading aloud in all of our communities. This year we will celebrate World Read Aloud Day by reading books that highlight Black History Month.

Remember you must be cleared by the district to volunteer in the school building so before you sign up as a volunteer reader, make sure you have completed the CCSD mandatory volunteer application.
