Prosper ISD Homecoming Parade
The Annual Prosper Homecoming Parade will begin at 6pm this year on Wednesday, September 22, 2021.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Cost is $25 for registration and one volunteer to assist with the entire parade at the direction of the parade coordinator.
Payment will be made through My School Bucks and the volunteer names must be submitted in the registration form.
There will be No refunds in case of rain and rain cancellation will be made by the District Superintendent via social media and contact information submitted in the registration process.
There will be a Mandatory meeting for ALL entry volunteers at the Community Room at Children's Health Stadium at Prosper ISD on September 14th at 6pm.
STAGING/LINING UP
Most Parade entries will stage (line up) and leave from the East parking lot behind Reynolds MS.
Any and ALL semis and trailers that are 35ft. or longer will stage at the intersection of Broadway and Coleman lining up back towards 380. They will NOT go to the Reynolds parking lot to stage.
PARADE ROUTE
Parade entries will start at Reynolds MS on Church Street, turn to E. Broadway West and then turn North on N. Coleman ending at Prosper High School.
Those floats/entries using a semi or trailers that are 35ft. Or longer will NOT be in the parade until it turns onto Coleman Street.
The parade ends the evening, there will be no community pep rally afterwards.
PARADE RULES
All Semis and 35ft. or longer trailers will require 6 walkers with the float. All other entries will require 4 walkers per entry.
Candy may be distributed by float walkers. Do not throw candy from the float.
Only floats associated directly with the district and the Town of Prosper (i.e. town council, fire trucks, police cars) will be involved. Community sports, businesses, etc. will not be in the parade this year.
TRANSPORTATION
Busses will be provided for all student and staff participants from PHS to the staging area.
GENERAL INFORMATION
The Grand Marshals will be Chuck and Cindy Stuber, namesake of Prosper's Stuber Elementary School.
All dismantling of floats and entries must be done off of PISD and Town of Prosper property.
