Sarah Lyon has been with HRCSD's alternative programs, before HROA existed. She has a wealth of educational experience (she has even taught the children of several movies stars during a previous position in California). Ms. Lyon's passion is infusing art with science and helping students see the interconnectedness of the two. She is an exceptional instructor who develops amazing opportunities for HROA students. Sarah's classroom is a safe place, where students often go because it is peaceful and supportive. Stop by HROA and check out our hallways, and you'll see some of the meaningful work Ms. Lyon has developed!

Cell Phones:

A reminder that when you're at HROA, we want students to manage time on their cell phones so it's not disruptive to their learning and accessing help. Our #1 priority is for students to achieve academic success in a safe and welcoming environment, but we also don't want to see students come to HROA and spend most of their time on their phones. Please respect your learning and learning of others by keeping cell phones separate from your online work. Take breaks, go for walks and use the phone when you need to, just not during your learning time. Talk with Ms. Running if you have questions. We are here to help you problem solve any needs or questions.
