Rules for Drug Advertisment

Rules for Drug Advertising.

This is a list of some rules for advertising drugs:

1. All product claim ads must include the name of the drug, at least one FDA approved use for the drug, and the significant risks of taking this drug.

2.Print advertisements must include the following statement: "You are encouraged to report negative side effects of prescription drugs to the FDA"

3. Broadcast claims must present all of the major risks in the audio of the ad,and list all of the risks or or provide a variety of sources to the people.

Effectiveness of these rules.

These rules create boundaries for these drug companies to protect the people from harmful drugs that can possibly hurt them. There are at least 3-4 warning letters sent out to companies. Now these rules don't always for the people and not everyone is going to have the same issues with these drugs as others.
