7:50 - 8:05: Grammar- Parts of Speech activity
8:05 - 8:45: Reading- Yes, I Can
8:50 - 9:45: Specials
9:50 - 10:50: Writing- summary for Yes, I Can and Snowflake Synonym
10:50-11:25: Color by Code activity.
11:25: SWITCH TIME - Mozisek to Lindsay / Smalling to Smith
11:30 - 11:50 : Grammar- Parts of Speech activity
11:50 - 12:50: Recess and Lunch *You will have Recess duty.
12:50-1:50: Reading- Yes, I Can
1:50-2:50: Writing- summary and Snowflake Synonym
2:50: Switch back to homeroom and pack up for the day.
*Mrs. Ziegenhorn will have parent drive duty, Mrs. Agnew will have bus duty.
Writing
When students finish this, and turn it in, they can work on the Winter Color by Code packet.
Grammar
Reading
In their Green Motivation Reading book, students will read Yes I Can on page 27-28. After students read, have them jot a few words next to each paragraph on the main ideas of that paragraph. They will use these ideas to write a summary on a separate piece of paper. We have done this strategy many times, so they should be able to do it. They can work with a partner to write the summary if you want. After their summaries are written, they will answer the questions on page 29-30. This page should be carefully torn out, and turned in. Please have students make sure their name is on the paper.
