Definition of UV Waves


  1. Ultraviolet (UV) light is electromagnetic radiation with a wavelength shorter than that of visible light but longer than X-rays (from 400 nm to 10 nm in wavelength).

-it can be used for sunbeds that are used for tanning

-it can also be used to put vitamin D in food and drinks

-It is also used to kill bugs like the purple lights that you see in restaurants

-it is best to be used to disinfect waste water which is really important
