The cost of pursuing a dream.
The cost of pursuing a dream is a costly one. there is a lot of potential that is lost when you go chasing after a dream you lose all the potential you have/given since you are so busy chasing you dream. Such as when Gatsby is busy trying to get rich(Fitzgerald 99) he missed so many chances to do stuff he likes but exchange he wasted he unveiled potential for a endless goal of his, "Her voice is full of money"(Fitzgerald, 127). He was weak inside he felt like money would do good . Gatsby needed to have an enormous mansion so he could feel confident enough to win Daisy. "'That huge place over there?' 'Do you like it?' ' I love it.' " (Fitzgerald, 95). The cost of sacrificing your potential to reach a higher goal is a common on Evan in the real world. People give up their potential to able to reach a goal of theirs in which Gatsby wanted possession . "seek in material possessions fulfillment that is lackingin other areas, especially human relationships"(Schmookler, 18).
Is the cost realistic to be able to reach a goal?
In most cases in the modern world people still have to sacrificial their potential to be able to reach their goal. One can survive with their lost potential. One can find such examples on modern world. Such as a well know figures, One such is Bill gate. Bill gates left his potential in Mark ting to create a computer while at Harvard. (Harvard, 2).
