The J-Hawk Experience!
Info you need to know for week of March 26-30!
Message from the principal
Though it may seem to be a long way off for some, this time will come soon so be sure to be considering how students can prepare themselves through the classes they take and activities/clubs/groups they are involved in.
All seniors are encourage to click on this link for an application to Dollars for Scholars to fill out their application to try to qualify for a scholarship.
"Seniors, the deadline for submitting an application for all of the local scholarships connected with the Dollars for Scholars program is April 1. When you go online and complete your profile for Dollars for Scholars, you will be notified of other scholarships available to you, including the Urbandale Alumni Legacy Scholarship, the Brad Peyton Memorial Scholarship and the Newsom Scholarship. If you will need to borrow ANY money to attend college, you have financial need. Dollars for Scholars and the Urbandale Education Foundation are offering numerous scholarships to assist you with that need. Please go online today to apply for these scholarships. If you have questions, please see your counselor as soon as possible.
Seniors who will be attending DMACC and haven’t taken the ACT can take the Accuplacer at UHS on April 4th at 2:00 PM in room 237 (Mr. White’s computer lab.) If you are interested or have any questions, please see your counselor or Mrs. Gibson to sign up. DMACC requires all full time students to take an assessment of reading and English, and the Accuplacer is a free test that meets this requirement."
Sincerely,
Tim Carver
