Daily Prayer for March 1st
O taste and see that the Lord is good! Happy is the man who takes refuge in him! Psalm 34:8, RSV
Dear Father in heaven, we come to you. With thanks we come to you, for again and again you have helped us. Again and again you have let your light shine out on us so that we could be glad and know that our lives are in your hands. Protect us on this earth, where it is so necessary. Protect us, that the light of true life may shine more and more brightly and we may praise your name with our whole heart. Be with us this night, O God, and touch our hearts with your Spirit. Amen.
A word from the Principal
I would like to start by thanking you all for supporting our initiative to screen our students' hair. We have found several new cases and if all of them get treated this weekend, we should see an end to our little critters' existence in our school. Please remember that if you have had to treat your child's hair, they should be treated again ten days later to ensure that you get rid of it all. This weekend, is a great time to wash you child's winter jacket, tuque, scarf and gloves.
We have had a case of Pertussis (Whooping Cough) in our school. Pertussis is contagious and even adults and children who were immunized against it can still contract the disease. If your child has a persistent rapid cough followed by a high-pitched “whoop” sound or vomits during or after coughing fits, please see your family doctor.
Our parking lot is much better than it used to be, but we have noticed some dangerous maneuvers lately and have had a few close calls. To help avoid accidents, please do not leave your vehicle unattended in the drop off zone and remember that the speed limit in the parking lot is 5 Km/hour. As you depart the drop off zone, be sure to shoulder check to see if another car is coming. Finally, we know that our bus parking zones indicate that it is fine to park there after 8:30 am., however our buses often arrive later. So please be aware of the fact that some buses may still not have arrived by 8:30 am.
We are so thankful for all the help you we are getting on different occasions from our parent community. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Blessings to all,
Mme Lafrance
