Dear Parents and Families,
This coming week we get to celebrate the Franklin Pierce High School graduates with our fourth annual FPHS Grad Parade. At Midland, we talk about our hopes and dreams for the future. It’s a privilege when we get to celebrate the success of our former students with them. FPHS students who attended Midland or have another connection to Midland are invited back to walk through in their caps and gowns, led by the high school pep band. We end our time in the gym with the seniors recalling their time at Midland. Perhaps some of our students’ older brothers and sisters will be participating! It’s a great reminder to our students of what’s to come!
I want to congratulate all our district’s high school seniors! We celebrate with you!!

Volunteers needed
Midland’s Field Day is Friday, June 14th. We are looking for volunteers to help us run our stations, and there is still time to submit a volunteer application! Please contact your child’s teacher to sign up to help!
Are you available to help our fifth grade students celebrate their promotion to middle school? We need people to help serve cake on June 19th following our 2:00 recognition. Fifth grade parents need not volunteer…..this is your day to celebrate with your student.
Travel Survey
Our school has been selected to participate in the 2019 Student Travel Survey by the Washington State Departments of Transportation and Health. Parents of children in K – 8th grade may get a call to take the short survey. We encourage parents to participate, as the results will help improve student transportation. However, if you do not want to be called, please contact the Department of Health at 1-833-256-4654 and leave your phone number and name of your child’s school to remove yourself from the contact list.
Are you moving?
