Taking Away a Child's Freedom
Censorship in Public Libraries
SAY NO TO CENSORSHIP IN PUBLIC LIBRARIES!
If you walked into a library and there was a shelf full of banned books, wouldn't you be curious to see what it was about? It is not up to the library to decide what a person can or cannot read. Books allow a child to have an imagination and experience something they have not yet experienced. Many challenging books also have educational purposes. Children can learn and mature from books as well. Children under the age of 18 have become passionate about reading. No library should make them feel belittled and have their freedom to read taken away from them!
