Gingerbread House Day

The schedule for Gingerbread Houses is listed above. If you are a Resource Para or an ELL aide please plan to spend the morning with the students creating their houses. Support teachers (Resource, ELL, Reading Specialists) who are not working with students your assistance is much appreciated as well. You may want to bring an apron. I have heard it can get messy.

My Learning Plan- PD Points for scoring writing

Teachers in grades 3-5 should sign up in My Learning Plan to receive PD points for scoring the first read of the writing assessment. The activity names are shown on the right.

To sign up:

  • Log on to My Learning Plan
  • Select District Catalog in the bar on the left-hand side of the screen In the search box, type “OL Grade” and click on search.
  • Choose the proper grade level and enroll

Kindergarten Grant

Kindergarten teachers may apply for a $250 grant (per school): Coming after the Winter break --- An opportunity for kindergarten teachers to apply for a $250 grant (per school) to supplement materials in the classroom that focus on play – focused experiential learning that is guided by teachers and supports academic and curricular goals. The intent is for hands-on exploration with open-ended materials where children construct their own learning. Applications and more information will be sent to Principals and Kindergarten Teachers early January.

Loopy~ Loopy always jumps in and helps when needed. This week she switched her schedule and went without lunch to help when another staff member was gone. Loopy is also always looking for new ways to help our students learn and grow. She cares for them as if they were a part of her family.
