Twelve Days of Tech Tips
or Really Cool Things You Can Do With Google
Day 6 - Fun Google Stuff :)
Google Santa Tracker
Google Santa Tracker will take your students on a tour of Santa's Village to learn about holiday traditions from all over the world. You'll also have access to complete standards-based lesson plans, and enjoy fun holiday games. This site is probably most suitable for grades K-3, but hey, who doesn't want to know when Santa's coming?
A Google A Day
A Google a Day challenges help your students put their search skills to the test, and to get your classroom engaged and excited about using technology to discover the world around them. Lesson plans are available for beginner, intermediate and advanced levels, and a new question is added every day. What a great way to spend that 10 minute break between classes!

Totally Frivolous Search Terms to use on YouTube (owned by Google)
Go to YouTube and in the search bar type in any of these terms and see what happens.
"Use the Force, Luke"
"Beam me up, Scotty"
"Do the Harlem Shake"
Yes, I told you it was totally frivolous, and wasn't it funny?
This is my first year as the Technology Integration Specialist at Southwest Christian School, Elementary Campus. My goal is to spread the word about all the amazing technology available for our teachers to use in the classroom. God called us to be educators. I believe we should do our best to make learning fun and relevant for our students. Education incorporating the use of technology is just one of the ways we can engage and challenge our students as they become 21st century learners.
