2022 Coloring Contest Due August 2
Join the 2022 Sarpy County Fair Coloring Contest and get a chance to win cool prizes! This contest is open to all youths (contest age groups: 5 and under; 6-9; 10-13; and 14-18). All youth are encouraged to enter the contest, even if they're not 4-H members! Color it using any physical medium, including crayons, colored pencils, markers, or paints and then enter the coloring sheet. Bring the coloring sheet to 4-H project entry day on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, 12-7 PM and turn it in OR drop the coloring sheet off at the Extension Office by July 26, 2022. During Fair
Static Entry
Entry Day for static exhibits is Tuesday, August 2nd from noon to 7 p.m. at the Sarpy County Fairgrounds in the green 4-H building. 4-H members are encouraged to interview judge during that time.
The 4-H Exhibit Hall opens to the public at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 3rd.
Livestock Exhibitors
All animals are to be kept in their stalls from 6:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. for the safety of the public that are viewing the animals.
All exhibitors are responsible for feeding, watering and tending to their own exhibit(s).

Sarpy County Fair Premium Auction
Any 4-Her who wins Champion or Reserve Market Animal in their respective species or gets a purple ribbon in the market animal classes is eligible to participate in the Sarpy County Fair Premium Auction.
The 4-Her must declare their intent to participate no more than 30 minutes after their animal is shown.
Forms will be available to fill out and returned to the announcers table at the livestock shows. Youth Participating in the Market Beef, Swine, Goat, Sheep, Broiler and Market Fryer Rabbit projects are eligible.
Youth must be present, in their 4-H show attire, with their animal during the auction. Auction begins at 4 pm on Saturday, August 6th in the Livestock Building.

Friday's Rodeo
The Sarpy County Ag Society has generously offered one free pass to rodeo on Friday, August 5 to all Douglas-Sarpy 4-H members. A voucher will be available during the fair at the 4-H Exhibit Hall office in the 4-H building on the fairgrounds. This voucher must then be taken to the Fair office to redeem for the admission ticket. There will be a signature check-out procedure for the vouchers.

Fair Passport
The Fair Passport is back by popular demand and we need your help! 4-Hers, leaders and volunteers are invited to sign up to help with this program at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0c4bada92caaf5c52-calendar
You will help youth learn about each part of the passport and walk through the answers with them.

Join us for the Parade
4-H youth are invited to ride the 4-H float on August 6.
Come to the 4-H livestock barn at 8:45 to help decorate. Parents can get their kids at the livestock barn after the parade.
Wear your 4-H gear and bring any green decorations you have.
Best Dressed
Youth will be dressing up their swine, goats, cattle and sheep.
4-H Council's Adult Showmanship event will follow this event

Release of Exhibits
If the livestock are not off the grounds by 9 a.m. they will have to stay until 6 p.m. that evening.
Release for static exhibits is Sunday, August 7 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. and on Monday, August 8 from 9 a.m. to noon.
Statewide and Regional Opportunities
4-Hers are invited to try the “TRICK AGILITY” Class!
Come try out the Platte Valley Kennel Club “TRICK AGILITY” Class!!
1. You DO NOT need to be AKC registered
2. It is only $5 per class for 4-H youth! (Plus, a $5 office fee per exhibitor)
3. Starts at 8am August 19th and should be done within the hour!

Back by popular demand! Our 4-H static exhibitor families will be able to order discount passes directly from the Nebraska State Fair! Orders can be placed using the following link and password. Please remember the opportunity to order these discounted tickets is for static exhibitors and their families only. The misuse of this resource may eliminate this opportunity in the future, so please encourage your families not to share this link. Note – We can track who ordered tickets and match it with their 4-H participation. There is a limit of 10 tickets per exhibitor. Discount tickets will not be available through the county offices.
