We at Our Lady of the Rosary in partnership with the parents, exist to serve God through educating and nurturing the whole child. We will be held accountable for our faith and loyalty through consistency, leadership, and service to Christ. Our goal as a community is to academically challenge our students and to instill a sense of leadership, service, humility, and compassion.

PTO Meeting October 12, 2021 7 pm via Google Meet

Dear parents,

It is time to get parents to involve! Our Lady of the Rosary School is an excellent school with talented, caring staff, enthusiastic students, and involved parents. The Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) is a volunteer group dedicated to supporting the school and enhancing the educational experience at OLR for all students. Our first PTO meeting will be on Tuesday, October 12, at 7:00 pm via Google Meet. The following is the information:

Key goals include:

Coordinating volunteer participation to support school events & programs

Hosting extra-curricular activities that encourage family involvement

Sponsoring activities that increase school spirit

Raising funds for supplemental services, equipment, and supplies

Supporting the school administration in its goals

We invite you to become involved and make this school an even better place for all the children. Whether you choose to lead a committee, assist in conducting an event, or just have a talent you want to share with our school.

If you are interested in joining OLR’s PTO or Room Parent, please fill out the following electronic form on this link: The PTO Board consists of executive officers, the school’s administration, teachers, and parents. In addition, program chairs, who are parent volunteers, lead the various committees and organize events. At OLR, all school parents are part of the PTO and can join our meeting, but we are currently looking for individuals to serve on the PTO executive board for the following positions.

Our annual spooky event will take place on Friday, October 22 from 5:00-6:30 pm and then the trunk or treat from 6:30-7:30 pm. Please use this form to place your to-go spaghetti plate order and save money by preordering the food.

Spooky Event Volunteer Information for Fri, Oct. 22, 2021

Dear school families,

You are welcome to work our annual Halloween fundraising event on October 22, 2021, for service hours but priority will be given to parents in 7th & 8th grade since they are hosting this event. Families need to sign up to be granted service hours. Families who signed up to work but do not show will be charged the NO SHOW FEE of $30.00.

Parking: For cars participating and giving away candy for the Trunk or Treat please park on the black pavement. PTO will assist you where to park.

Volunteers: Please be prepared to show your vaccination card or negative Covid-19 test.

FDA approved Covid19 Negative Test required for parents to come taken from Oct 18-21.

COVID-19 testing

Dear LA County Community Sector Partners,

Please see information below about no-cost COVID-19 testing at local health centers and select pharmacies.

The COVID-19 testing sites on the LA County COVID-19 Testing website offer no-cost (free) testing.

The City of Los Angeles also offers free COVID-19 testing.

U.S. Health and Human Services (HHS) has also partnered with pharmacies and retail companies to accelerate testing for more Americans in communities across the country (HHS website)

These companies are coordinating with state and local governments to:

  • Provide Americans with faster, less invasive and more convenient testing
  • Protect healthcare personnel by eliminating direct-contact with symptomatic individuals
  • Expand testing to communities across the United States, especially those that are under-tested and socially vulnerable

Please visit these companies' websites to learn more about their efforts to provide timely and accessible COVID-19 testing or to schedule an appointment.

School hours will be from 8:25 am to 3:00 pm and on Wednesdays, 8:25 am- 1:00 pm

8:00-8:20 Arrival (Parent Drive Thru Drop off on Zone 1: TK-4th Zone 2: 5th -6th)

8:20-8:25 Students walk to their classrooms and the teacher will do health screening.

8:25 Gates are Closed

8:30 Tardy, Assembly Begins in the Hall, Student enter through the school's office
