“Live Young Blood” Premiere and DVD Release of local documentary by independent filmmakers and community activists Bobby Marvin Holmes and Justin Gladden. March 30, 2014, Doors open 3:30 p.m., Screening begins at 4:00 at Creative Alliance, 3134 Eastern Avenue. This raw and honest documentary takes a rare look at the struggle to reduce youth violence in Baltimore City and spotlights some of the people leading the fight to pull Baltimore from the edge. The Premiere and DVD Release of "Live Young Blood” will be followed by a panel discussion with the filmmakers, Imhotep Simba (Junior Mentor for Mentoring Male Teens in the Hood and young man featured in the film), and some of Baltimore’s leading youth advocates including: Munir Bahar, Organizer of the 300 Men March; Phil Leaf, Director of the Center for the Prevention of Youth Violence at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health; and Kimberly Armstrong, Community Activist who lost her teenage son to violence (she’s featured in the film).
