Plano ISD's temporary mask requirement expires tonight, Friday, 9/24. The School Board did not vote to extend the temporary mask requirement measure and, therefore, the district will return to the mask protocol described in the 2021-2022 Return to School Plan, which states:

The use of face masks is optional for all students, staff and visitors. It is recommended that individuals who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 continue to wear an appropriate face mask while around others. Universal indoor masking is recommended for all teachers, staff, students and visitors to K-12 schools, regardless of vaccination status (Collin County Health Care Services | Centers for Disease Control and Prevention | American Academy of Pediatrics).

We hope you all are enjoying the cooler weather! It is my favorite time of the year!

Thanks,

Kamili Carthledge, Assistant Principal
