Why Read at Home Every Day?
Reading Challenge at Home!
This is a fun game to play the next time you have a little time to pass with your child whether you are in the car, waiting in line, or eating together. Choose one of your child’s favorite story characters and describe the character’s personality, appearance, problems, and the decisions they make. Give clues until your child is able to guess who the character is. Reverse roles with your child and have him or her give you clues for characters in stories your family knows well such as those in fairy tales. You can also adapt this game and play a character or story charades with your family.
