Third Quarter Star Data
SGP - Student Growth Percentile. This number is a quick way of understanding how your students grew compared with other students that started at the same spot. It is a percentile which means 50 shows that your kids grew at the same average rate as the rest of the country (on average). Any score over 50 is strong (the higher the better) and less than 50 is weak. Here are the grade level averages by subject:
Reading
- 5th - 46
- 6th - 58
Math
- 5th - 52
- 6th - 65
I will be sending you what your personal SGP is for your class but you can also access this in STAR by running a "Growth Report"
Evals
Do not be surprised if Scott or I pop in for a "short" (10 min) eval on non-ISTEP days for you.
