Summary
In 1776, sisters Isabel and Ruth's owner Miss Mary Finch passes away. Miss Mary Finch has in her will to let the girls free, but her brother sells them. Their new owner Anne is horrible, mean and cruel. Life for these two sisters get hard, Anne is very cold-hearted towards them. They learn to stick together more than ever.
Chains were often used to confine slaves and to punish them for trying to escape from the horrible environment they were in.
