Little Lancers Lowdown
“Where Learners are Grown with Pride!”
April 2023
Dear Little Elba Lancer Families,
Wow, it is already spring! The month of March was incredibly busy here in the elementary school and the next few months will be just as busy! You'll notice in this newsletter a lot of congratulations and thank yous! The month was packed with so many events and I wanted to take the opportunity to thank our students and staff members involved in the success of each event!
Congratulations to our students for reading so many minutes during the Reading Week: “Reading Takes You on the Greatest Adventures!” There were so many students who helped to raise money for Student Council during the afterschool read-a-thon. Thank you for your support! A huge thank you to the Student Council advisors, Mrs. Quinn and MRs. Matos for all of their hard work in organizing all of the reading week fun. Congratulations to our winners of the drawings, (students received tickets throughout the week for reading at home). A huge congratulations to Mrs. Maher's class for winning the door decorating contest! They won a S'more party!
Our elementary Page Turners also had a successful Spring competition. There was so much growth from the beginning competition. Thank you to Mrs. P. for a great job with our group and for hosting the competition!
Hopefully, you were able to attend one of the performances of Shrek the Musical, Jr. What great performances these were and so many Little Elba Lancers were involved, both on stage and behind the scenes! Kudos to Mr. Piotrowski, Mr. Hirsch, Miss Anderson, Mr. Rombaut, and everyone else who helped with the performances! I can't wait to see future performances with our students! March Lancer Leaders
Congratulations!
At the end of March, Mrs. Carlie, Mrs. Kohlstaedt, Mrs. Terranova and the PBIS Committee lead an amazing PBIS assembly. So many hours were put into creating a student-led assembly for all of our Little Lancers. The PBIS Committee created videos to remind students of appropriate and inappropriate behavior in the cafeteria and the hallway. They also created a game for the audience to play. Great work!
Thank you to these students for planning an amazing assembly:
