I wanted to make sure everyone received the separate email about the change in the way we are using our FLEX period. Monday and Tuesday will be Sustained Silent Reading, while Thursday and Friday will be spent on the student's individual Exact Path. Wednesday will be a free FLEX period for students to choose to what to work on, get help in, or study. Please reference the email for more specific details.

Parents, if your child is experiencing COVID-like symptoms or waiting results of a COVID test please contact the school and let us know why they are absent. This will help the district and school with contact tracing and management of COVID protocols.

Missing Assignments

I would like to thank everyone for logging on to parent portal last week to check on their child's midterm grade. Please continue to monitor that as we move towards the end of the first quarter. Our administration and guidance department are going to begin meeting with students who are struggling and not completing assignments in an effort to help the students.

Mrs. Morgan's Sensory Garden

I am excited to share the newest addition to our building, our very own Sensory Garden! This was made possible through a grant that administration and teachers applied for and were awarded by the Fort Mill Foundation. A couple of special shout outs for this project - Mrs. Morgan and Mrs. Scroggs were instrumental in the writing of the grant. I would also like to thank the Fort Mill Foundation for providing the grant. Last but not least, I would like to thank the work crew of Mrs. Morgan, Mrs. Burford, and Husband of the Year - Trey Morgan, who gave up their Saturday and Sunday to build this special place for our students. Their dedication and commitment is a true inspiration, and makes me proud to be a Bulldog! It is awesome seeing our students get so excited, and we had a blast playing out there with them!

Congratulations to our Football Team!!! Gold Hill kept their winning streak going with a convincing win over Springfield Middle School, 36 - 0!!! There is a chance that football will still be going on that week. Any football player that would like to try out for the basketball team will be able to tryout once the football season is over. No worries!

Everyone interested in trying out must have an up-to-date physical uploaded onto PlanetHS prior to them being able to tryout. Jeans for Teens

We have a very cool charitable opportunity that has been set up by one of our former Bulldogs, Blake Coston. Jeans for Teens helps to provide blue jeans for teenagers who are experiencing homelessness. Blake started this project several years ago, and is still working to provide this service for our community. Families can bring in new or lightly used blue jeans to donate to the Children's Attention Home. The Jeans for Teens box is located in the main lobby by the guidance offices. Just drop the jeans in the box and you are good to go! This is a cool opportunity to help one of our former Bulldogs make a difference in the lives of other teenagers.
