No School on March 1st or 4th
School starts at 8:30
For the six school days from February 13 through February 20, Lakeview had:
• 81 individual students that were tardy at least once,
• Those 81 students had a total of 133 tardies (because some students were tardy multiple times in that 6-day period),
• That means that 26% of our total Lakeview student population was tardy at least once in those 6 days of school,
• 11% of our students were tardy more than once in those 6 days.
That's a crisis to me as a principal, and I'm asking for your help with this. As adults, we know how important it is to be on time for our own jobs. Please have your students here before 8:30 every day. To help avoid confusion, we will be adjusting our bells so that our 8:30 bell is the final bell you will hear each morning. Thank you for your help with this!
Don't forget - please remember to provide excuse letters from your child's doctor, dentist, or other provider if students miss for these reasons. Medically excused absences do not count against your child's 10-day limit for the school year.

Shoe Fundraiser for Lakeview
Starting Tuesday, February 26, you can send donations of new or gently used shoes, boots, and sandals to school. Lakeview PTO gets 40 cents/pound and the shoes are recycled to help others. If you have a bunch of old kid's shoes, you can send the entire box to us! This fundraiser will end on April 16, so if you need some time to clean out those old shoes and send them to Lakeview, you've got it. The only things you cannot send are roller skates or ice skates. Please click this link for more info about the fundraiser.
