#sparkinfo. Weekly Update
Week #7- October 1st-5th, 2018
A Busy Week Ahead
As we get busy and feel overwhelmed, try and remember your why. Why do I work with middle schoolers that need me? Reflecting on the why helps me maintain a positive vision when there is so much to do. Remember the positive start we have had and make the effort to keep the positive going. It makes such a difference for our students and also for ourselves. YOU MAKE SUCH A DIFFERENCE FOR OUR STUDENTS!!
We are here to support you anyway that we can. Thank you for all you do for our students. Many of our students do not have people at home who care for them and see the good in them. Thank you for finding the good, and, at the same time, having high expectations for what our students can do!
The Momentum Bike Club had its first meeting!
A big win for football means ringing the bell at assembly!
Our speaker was Nick Smith and his testimony was powerful!
On twin day, we saw many tributes!
Strong instruction is happening everyday!
We've got #sparkpride!
Our athletic P.E. teachers make pretty good mathletes!
Great Pep Rally!
The eighth grade represented us well at the career center!
Communication- Building relationships with our community
With this in mind, please remember that parent conferences are a great way to build relationships. Please be on time if not early to these meetings. I know there is much to do, but they need to be a priority.
Also, if students have to be out, they need assignments in the main office. This responsibility lies with the teacher of record and not Mrs. Chastain. Please assume that students who have to be out do not have access to schoology. If you know that they do, please make sure that parents/guardians expect to see a schoology reference in the assignments left.
I know you are very busy. I appreciate you making this a priority.

Spark Spotlight!!
We have great assistant principals!
I told the guys this past week that I really feel like I have the dream team! Both Kevin and Butch have worked tirelessly to provide consistent expectations and consequences for disciplinary issues that arise. Beyond that, they are bringing the positive daily. They do this by building relationships with the staff and students and demonstrating servant leadership. I feel very fortunate to have these two gentleman on our leadership team who share a common vision with myself. Thank you Butch and Kevin!
Coach Morris is off to a good start!
Wayne and Garth are a good example of working hard but finding time to have fun too!
Thank you Mr. Williams
