from Ashley Vale Action Group
Ashley Vale Action Group (AVAG) has teamed up with Sims Hill Shared Harvest to bring you a box of locally grown organic vegetables from recent local harvests, as a small New Year gift to every household in the Ashley Vale community.
With this gift, we wish to show our support of the Sims Hill Shared Harvest project, a local organisation whose values and ambitions we respect and support. We’d also like to let you know about some of our own current and forthcoming activities.
Public events at Wildgoose Space:
In 2013, we plan a series of free public events in Wildgoose Space. These will be open, social events with a range of speakers/performers tackling subjects that reflect our interest in positive, resilient and alternative solutions to ways of life and living.
We are finalising our full programme and details will be announced regularly on our website. We are pleased to confirm that our first event will be: The Bristol Pound: Having our own currency – what it can do for us.
Free: 20th January 7- 8.30PM Wildgoose Space, The Yard with food and drinks.
Chris Sunderland, one of the founding directors of the Bristol Pound, will tell the story of the Bristol Pound so far and explain its potential for changing the way our city works.
Financial donations to local activities and causes:
We are pleased to report that Wildgoose Space is packed with a programme of positive classes and events. The sheer level of activity means we have accrued a surplus in the last year and we wish to distribute this surplus to support activities/ventures driven by residents of Ashley Vale. We are very happy to receive email enquiries for donations (of up to £500.00 in each case) for causes, activities or projects that meet our aims and principles. Feel free to contact us with a request for a donation with details of your project and an explanation as to how you will use the donation. We will publish all donations on our website.
