Parent Meeting at Clark Middle School
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 9TH
6:00 – 7:00 PM Clark cafeteria
Clark Middle School is having a parent meeting for upcoming 6th graders.
(Staff will be meeting with 5th graders at their individual campuses for registration.)
Morning Tutorials
We are still having some trouble with students wandering into the pod between 7:25 and 7:40. We are more than happy to help your child in the morning before school starts, but children must be in the classroom no later than 7:25. They are supposed to come directly into the classroom rather than take time in the hall to unpack all of their things.
Counselor Corner
Counselor Corner,
January is the perfect time to talk about goal setting both academic and personal. Our guidance lessons will give students a chance to reflect on growth they have already experienced this school year and make plans for positive changes.
Small group academic counseling for 5th graders started in December and will continue this month. We go over results of the Cognitive Abilities test and make some short term and long term academic goals. We talk about possible courses choices for middle school. The Clark middle school counselor will be here in February to explain middle school course choices to the students.

BABY IT'S COLD OUTSIDE!
Last note on jackets – if you happen to drop off a jacket, lunch box, etc. in the day, there is a bin with 5th grade’s label on it in the foyer to the front office. Please utilize this bin and it will be sent down to the grade level before lunch. We are trying to teach students to check this bin if they forgot something to see if their parents dropped it off.
