Dear Kerr Families,
Welcome to the 2022-23 school year! We are looking forward to seeing all of our Kerr Tigers on campus August 8th. We have been working hard to create a safe, supportive, and welcoming space for all students. Please let us know how we can support you and your student this upcoming school year.

First Day Schedule

Bell Schedule
Alief ISD has a closed campus policy. Students are not permitted to leave campus for any reason during the school day unless they have been checked out through the front office or are a senior with a designated off-campus class period.
Students who are absent or tardy 3 or more times to a class in a term will receive notification of a potential loss of credit in their courses. Excessive absences in a term will result in an attendance contract with the assistant principal's office.
Take care of yourself and others. If you are not feeling well, please stay home. Upon return to campus submit documentation of the reason for your absence to the attendance office.
Below you will find the Kerr daily schedule as well as a link to the district calendar. High school students are dismissed at 1:30 on Wednesdays (unless noted otherwise on the calendar) to allow teachers an opportunity to plan together.

Campus Expectations
Please click on the images below for guidelines regarding dress code, attendance, and integrity. Understanding and complying with our campus guidelines ensure a safe and respectful environment for all.
Dress Code A detailed description of the Alief ISD student dress code may be found in the student handbook. | Attendance District attendance policy information is available in the student handbook. | Integrity All Kerr students receive and are asked to sign a copy of the full Kerr integrity policy through advisory at the beginning of each year. |

Textbooks and Supplies
Alief ISD is now a 1:1 district, and students are welcome to bring their own laptop or loan one from the district through the 1:1 student device program. There is a $20 fee and technology agreement form required to loan a device. You MUST HAVE a Technology Lending form completed and SIGNED as well as a $20 fee that is paid to cover insurance cost on the device BEFORE the device can be checked out. This can be paid in person with cash or on My School Bucks. The fee includes insurance on the device. For more details on the program, see https://www.aliefisd.net/1to1
School supplies - individual teachers will share with students any specific course supply needs on the first day. Something to write with and something to write on is always a good place to start. ;)
