Wrapping up Autumn

Here's a recap of some of the special things we have done!

Halloween Week... Field Trip, Pumpkin Seed Counting, Dress-Up Day!

Pumpkin Seed Exploration

We had a very special guest visit us to teach us about still life painting (my Nana!)

Art Survey

Last week I send out a quick survey to see if parents preferred art being sent home throughout the year or altogether at the end. The results are in, and I will be sending a book home at the end of the year. I may send home some pieces here and there, but expect a book at the end! Thank you to all who responded... it was very helpful!

Report cards are being sent home this THURSDAY (11/19)

Grandparent's Day

Friday, Nov. 20th, 11am

Meet in the Library to check in

This Friday is Grandparent's Day from 11:15-12:55. First grade has a fun activity planned to help show our grandparents around our beautiful school. Then, they are welcome to stay and eat lunch with our kiddos.

Pie Tasting Party

Friday, Nov. 20th, 2:30pm

Room 401

We still need some people to bring pies (pumpkin, apple and either chocolate/berry). We have napkins, plates, and whipped cream accounted for. Please contact me if you are able to contribute. Any parents who would be able to help serve pie, please let me know! It will be from 2:30-the end of the day. Can't wait!

Please be practicing the Winter Performance Songs!

They were sent home last Friday. The songs are:

  • Mele Kalikimaka
  • I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas
  • All I Want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth
