Weekly Bulletin - November 8, 2020
LEADERSHIP MESSAGE
Thanks again for your continued support, especially with screening protocols. Everyone is well aware that the COVID cases in Camrose and surrounding area have gone up so the extra care and caution is appreciated.
Thank you for your recent participation with our Three way conferences. Please follow up with your teacher if you were unable to connect. Today (Sunday), we recognized the gift of Catholic education at the 11am Mass. Within our school, we are called to make our spaces places of Joy for our students and each other. Nurtured not by current events, but by Christ, we “are prepared to give a reason for the hope, for the joy that is within us.”
A reminder that Fall break starts this Wednesday with Remembrance Day and continues into the following week. Students will return back to school on Wednesday, November 18th. Please note: The next newsletter will be sent on November 22nd.
Choose Joy!

Screenagers, Growing Up In the Digital Age
Are you watching kids scroll through life, with their rapid fire thumbs and six second attention span?
Physician and filmmaker Delaney Ruston saw that with her own kids and learned that the average kid spends 6.5 hours a day looking at screens. She wondered about the impact of all this time and about the friction occurring in homes and schools around negotiating screen time – friction she knew all too well.
In SCREENAGERS, as with her award-winning documentaries on mental health, Delaney takes a deeply personal approach as she probes into the vulnerable corners of family life, including her own, to explore struggles over social media, video games, academics, and internet addiction. Through poignant, and unexpectedly funny stories, along with surprising insights from authors, psychologists, and brain scientists, SCREENAGERS reveals how tech time impacts kids’ development and offers solutions on how adults can empower kids to best navigate the digital world and find balance.
*Recommended viewing age: 10 years and older
*Once you have registered to watch Screenagers, the movie will be available for you to watch at your convenience from November 16-30, 2020. Registration will open on Monday November 2nd.
